About last minute availability

On the odd occasion during the shooting season there is last minute availability. In this event it may be possible for fewer than 6 people to attend a shoot.

The shooting is in the true Suffolk tradition of high flying, driven partridges, pheasants and duck. The day will be spent with the land owner or shoot manager; villagers will be your beaters and dog handlers will retrieve the birds.

Join the Beaters

If you just fancy some fresh air or want your family to come along, joining the beaters is a great way to soak up the atmosphere of a shoot.

Refreshments are provided after about the third drive. As tradition demands a shoot dinner will be provided afterwards hosted by the Shoot Manager or you can arrange your own splendid supper with our private chef.

About the drives

Local Suffolk shoots offer around x7 drives plus x1 duck pond, a river running through the property, acres of farmland with strategically placed cover crops to create good cover for the birds.

With the 'beaters' the birds fly to a good height to 30 yards in a number of drives. The tall hedges and ditches add height for partridge drives and wild fowl ponds with duck offer variety for a well-rounded day of shooting.
