Christchurch Mansion for the Wolsey Art Gallery, Ipswich

The World Land Trust Gallery in Halesworth is an innovative and exciting approach to raise finances and awareness for the conservation charity World Land Trust. The gallery is a commercial space that will focus on Wildlife art and prints, but also exhibits contemporary landscapes, photographs and works of art.


Founded in 1989, the charity has had great success in buying acre by acre tropical forest and threatened wilderness. Worldwide, it has bought 500.000 acres, and has over 4 million acres of land managed under active protection. At least 35% of everything bought through the gallery will go to WLT to help finance their projects.

The Crooked House Gallery

Worth a visit in its own right, The Crooked House is a fantastic medieval timber building originally built by wealthy cloth merchants in the 15th century.

This year's Open Studios begins in June with over 140 artists taking part exhibiting in studios across Suffolk. With a huge variety of medias to see from watercolours, oils, sculpture, photography, glass, jewellery, ceramics and textiles there is something to inspire and interest everyone. Held just outside of Bury St Edmunds it offers art lovers the chance to see a selection of each artists work before deciding on which studios to visit.
