We are not a large faceless agency, we are private individuals who do what we do with a passion. Whenever guests 'Recommend A Friend' who visit Suffolk Character Cottages we will donate £50 to causes that sustain the local community. 

To guests who recommend us, we will send a bottle of Vintage Claret as a 'thank you'. Alternatively, you can opt for us to make an additional donation of £25 to help the local community (after which there will no doubt be a pint in the 'local' for you!)

Environmentally friendly

We cannot claim to be 100% eco friendly but we play our part wherever possible. We choose green products for guest provisions and property maintenance. Green features include:-

• Eco friendly cleaning products
• Organic eco friendly guest bathroom lotions & potions
• Softened water: less detergent needed for bathing and kind to skin
• Eco washing machine balls
• Sheila clothes drying pulley (to cut down on use of the washer dryer)
• Wood burning stove instead of coal
• Recycle bins inside and outside
• Guest guidelines for operating green e.g. how to put TVs on standby
